I am creating an issue log over here that I would be updating regularly. The issues mentioned here are the common problems my students face in learning mathematics. The same is shared for the reason that if we identify the issue it is easier to approach it and solve it.

Issue No.1[Grade-5 Fractions]There is a common confusion between techniques used for multiplication of fractions and addition/subtraction of fractions. Students tend to find a common denominator even in case of multiplication of fractions.

Issue No.2 – [Grade-5 Fractions] While adding fractions, the students make a common mistake of adding the numerators with the numerators and the denominators with denominators.

Issues No.3 – [Grade-5 Division] Whenever students are asked to divide a smaller number by a bigger number, they would always divide the bigger number by the smaller number. For e.g. If you ask the student to divide 2 by 4 (2÷4), they will tell you the answer is 2. This means that they have divided the bigger number(4) by the smaller number(2) – (4÷2), instead of dividing smaller number  (2) by bigger number (4) – (2÷4) to get the correct result as 0.5.
